Workshops for Narrative Text

 

Jump the Moat Theatre Company is offering interactive drama-based workshops on “Myths and Legends” and “Adventure and Mystery” to support KS2 work on Narrative text, or to accompany related topics across the curriculum.

 

The cost is just £99 for the morning   

(plus an optional donation of £1 to a children’s charity)

 

The workshops will revolve around storytelling, the process of making a story and bringing it to life through drama. They can be tailored to your schools specific requirements based on the year group and units you want to cover, but will typically begin with an introductory session for up to 100 pupils followed by an additional sessions for smaller class groups.

	Parachute games - facing the challenge, beating the beast, working together

	Storytelling tent - genres, components, heroes and villains, myths and monsters, making choices

	Interactive Story - actor-led dramatisation involving the pupils

	Pupils are guided by the workshop leader, with support from class teachers, in creating their own version of an existing story, or devising a new story from fresh stimuli.

	The class sessions will run one after the other, with no more than three classes in the morning, but we can give you ideas for the classes between workshops if you need them.
