This play sits on the edge of our comfort zone, but presents four characters with great emotional depth. The emotions, though extreme, are real and recognisable. Beneath the cynical and darkly comic surface lies a drama that is raw and human – we can empathise with the characters because we’ve been there too.

What the critics said:

Tackling this play requires a confident, creative and experienced director. The company was fortunate that Mark has all of these qualities in bucket loads. He was able to get inside the play’s meaning, and encourage the actors to work closely together so that they portrayed the layers of passion and torment, openness and mistrust, attachment and rejection that this play embodies. In addition, from the opening scene, it made people laugh - in the right places.
